British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said he would not allow Essequibo to join Venezuela. This was reported by TASS.
“One of the issues we discussed was the situation at the border between Venezuela and Guyana. These borders were established in 1899. I see absolutely no reason for Venezuela to act unilaterally. They are wrong and they need to stop. I hope to have telephone conversations with the President of Guyana and others [лидерами] “We are trying to ensure that this aggravating action does not lead to something else in the region,” Cameron said during a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
