The court returned to the police a protocol on discrediting the RF Armed Forces against former GRU colonel Vladimir Kvachkov. Relevant information is published in: card Kvachkov’s case on the website of the Courts of General Jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.

Kvachkov is the chairman of the All-Russian Officers’ Council.

The protocol was registered on 4 December and returned to the court on 5 December.

Administrative case on discrediting the RF Armed Forces launched against Kvachkov on July 18. Kvachkov described the grounds for the case against him as his objections “concerning the inadmissibility of such military operations.”

“We not only criticized, we pointed out the shortcomings and suggested specific measures on how they could be eliminated. The first statement was made on May 19 last year, and the second statement was made in March this year. So the position there is clear and definite. We have all served, fought, and graduated from military academies, so we know how it should be done. “Not in terms of slandering our armed forces,” he emphasized.

Vladimir Kvachkov was accused of an assassination attempt on Chubais in 2005, but was acquitted several years later. In 2013, a former GRU colonel was sentenced to 13 years in prison for organizing an armed rebellion. The court later reduced the sentence to eight years. He was released in February 2019.
