As reported by police this Friday, proceedings began at the Tremp Investigation Court. A young boy accuses his stepfather of sexual abuseensuring that he is aware that he is also committing the same actions against other minors in his own country.

The National Police launched an investigation and discovered, through Interpol, that the man was wanted by Brazilian authorities on charges of sexually abusing his two stepdaughters by exercising his stepfather status.

Abuses occurred frequently in the absence of the mother or while sleeping in 2015 and 2016, and once reported, he escaped Brazil. Since then, there has been an international arrest warrant issued by the Brazilian judicial authorities.

The detainee awaits the extradition decision in prison.

The operation was carried out by the Lleida Provincial Judicial Police Brigade in cooperation with Interpol Spain.
