He said he fired from a 5.45mm AKS-74M assault rifle and aimed at his chest.

The agency states that Pepper is 25 years old, a native of the Chernihiv region. He served under the contract in the 36th brigade. Until April 15, units of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were located on the territory of the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works.

Formerly, fighters of the separate 18th Marine Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) recorded a video message with a complaint about the order to fight under artillery fire.
