Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, by his decree, removed from the headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief the head of the State Special Communications and Information Protection Service, Yuriy Shchigol, who was accused of corruption. This was stated in a message on the website of the Ukrainian leader.
“Remove Commander-in-Chief Yuri Shchigol from Headquarters,” the message reads.
It was noted that Shchigol’s place at the headquarters will be taken by Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Mikhail Fedorov. It was also reported that the decree came into force.

Dmitry Makovsky will temporarily serve as head of the State Special Communications Service. According to Ukrainian media, he previously served as first deputy head of this department.
