“You will build the next Air Force One, one of the most technologically advanced aircraft, and your skills will be tested every day,” the job description says.
The publication states that Boeing has completed “major design changes” on the first of the two aircraft and plans to complete similar work on the second aircraft “before the end of spring”.
Now the aircraft needs to install wiring – more than 2 thousand wire harnesses with a total length of 320 km. This is almost twice as much as a regular commercial 747.
One of the reasons for the shortage of personnel for the presidential aircraft is the high security requirements, due to the fact that the project to create the VC-25B presidential aircraft is secret.
