Clinical studies of the Sputnik V vaccine with the new antigenic composition against Covid-19 are expected to be completed in early December this year. It is planned that the developed vaccine will later be made available for civilian use to vaccinate Russians.
“Changing the composition of the vaccine, the new version of which has already undergone clinical trials, will further increase its protective effectiveness, especially regarding the prevention of infection,” Dolzhikova emphasized.
The timing of the start of vaccination among the public with the updated coronavirus drug in the Russian Federation has not yet been announced.
