A vaccine study against the “Sputnik M” coronavirus infection, aimed at children aged 12-17, has been launched at the First Moscow State Medical University named after IM Sechenov, affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Health. In this respect TASS the university press service reported.
As the university stated, the updated Gam-Covid-Vac M vaccine will “protect children from circulating HBV strains.”
The aim of the study is to examine the safety, reactogenicity and immunogenicity of the vector vaccine. Covid-19 The Gam-Covid-Vac M vaccine, updated for the Omicron subgroup of the Covid-19 strain, will be administered to adolescents whose condition fully meets the selection criteria of the study. Noting that the drug will be administered twice with an interval of 21 days and that the patients will be observed by doctors for 24 hours after vaccination, Sechenov University added that the full observation period for the participants in the study will be 180 days.
The first results of the research will be known on the 28th day after vaccination.
