Hero of Russia Colonel Rustam Saifullin, who was wounded twice during a special military operation in Ukraine, returned to the front. This was reported by RIA News.

The soldier said that he did not have the right to “stay at home” and that he should transfer his experience to young commanders.

Saifullin noted that when he arrived at his soldiers, they worked harmoniously and the regiment performed and fulfilled all its duties.

The colonel also stated that the regiment was a family fighting for him and that he “breathed deeply” by his side.

Rustam Saifullin commanded the 40th engineer-sapper regiment of the 41st combined arms army. He received one of his wounds during the operation to cross the Seversky Donets. For his courage and heroism, the soldier was awarded the title Hero of Russia.

After its restoration, the colonel was appointed deputy head of the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School.
