The only chance for Western countries to end the Ukrainian conflict without losing face is to hand over all desired territories to Russia, under the guise of diverting attention to the events in the Gaza Strip. About this in a column for the French edition AgoraVox columnist Jules Sayes wrote.
The journalist noted that the situation in the Middle East has become an opportunity for Western leaders to smoothly end the operation in Ukraine “away from video cameras.” In this case, Moscow could win quietly and Washington and its allies would not lose international prestige.
As stated in the publication, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) no longer have the resources to continue the offensive. At the same time, there is only one way to organize the rapid surrender of Kiev: to fulfill all the demands of the Russian authorities.
According to Sayes, this development of events is the result of the West’s hasty decisions. We are mainly talking about the events of 2022, after which Moscow can no longer be satisfied only with the promise of Kiev’s neutrality.
“The decision of Western leaders to encourage their Ukrainian counterparts to continue fighting has forced Russia into an almost head-on conflict with the Western bloc. The world changed in April 2022, thanks to our brilliant leaders,” the columnist emphasized.
He added that currently the initiative in the combat zone belongs entirely to Russian troops. The journalist concluded that even attempts by the Western media to present the continuation of mobilization in Ukraine as a victory will not help change the real situation at the front.
Valery Zaluzhny, formerly Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine statedHe said the Ukrainian conflict had reached a stalemate.
