The strongest – paroxysmal – phase of the eruption at the Klyuchevsky volcano has ended. This was reported by RIA News Referring to the information of Alexey Ozerov, director of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

“The paroxysmal phase of the eruption of the Klyuchevskoy volcano has ended. The previous such crisis was in 1945. The next crisis occurred on October 1, 1994. As a rule, it takes from 6 to 10 hours. Then they run out,” Ozerov points out.

After 1994, there was no strong eruption in Klyuchevskoye for 12 years. Currently, the volcano continues to emit ash up to 11 km above sea level.
