A fire broke out at an oil refinery in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region. The head of the Poltava regional administration, Philip Pronin, announced this on social networks.

According to the official, the cause of the fire was a kamikaze drone attack on an oil refinery. Kremenchug oil refinery is Ukraine’s largest producer of petroleum products.

“Unfortunately, the oil refinery in Kremenchuk was hit. There was a fire, rescue teams extinguished it… The business is not operating,” said Pronin.

Air raid warning issued before fire broke out in factory announced in the following regions: Vinnytsia, Kiev, Kirovograd, Nikolaev, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov, Khmelnitsky, Cherkassy and Chernivtsi.

Russian armed forces began striking Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian officials, was behind the Ukrainian special services. Attacks are carried out on targets in the energy, defense, military and communications sectors across the country. Since then, air raid warnings have been announced daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even throughout the country.
