Iryo will connect Barcelona to Seville with its high-speed trains starting from December 10

Iryo, a private high-speed operator owned by Trenitalia, Air Nostrum and Globalvia, will start operating a new transverse route connecting the cities of Barcelona and Seville from next December 10.

With four frequencies per day (two outbound and two return), seven days a week, the route will have stops in Zaragoza, Madrid (20 minutes) and Córdoba. Additionally, between 15 June and 14 September 2024, one of the frequencies will also stop in Tarragona.

The annual number of seats that Iryo will offer for this route will be 673,060, connecting Catalonia with Andalusia in approximately five hours and fifty minutes, according to the operator, which offers tickets for sale on its website.

Specifically, departure times from Barcelona will be 09:50 and 13:45, and arrival times in Seville will be 15:36 and 19:39 respectively. The departure times of the flight, which will depart from the capital of Andalusia to Barcelona, ​​will be 06:54 and 16:20, and the arrival times will be 12:45 and 22:10, respectively.

“With the merger of Barcelona with Seville, we hope that more and more passengers will choose the train for both business and leisure travel, thus continuing to promote sustainable mobility,” said Iryo CEO Simone Gorini.
