ICC Chief Prosecutor: “I hope to enter Gaza”
International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan today wished he could “enter Gaza” and travel to Israel to conduct an investigation into the attack carried out by the Islamist group Hamas on October 7 and the mass Israeli attack that followed. “I am very hopeful that I will be able to enter Gaza and go to Israel for this special mission,” Khan said in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, which connects the Palestinian territory to Israel. It is the only border gate through which humanitarian aid reaches Sinai and Gaza so far.
The ICC prosecutor, who was at the border gate, stated that he could see Gaza but his team “could not get close” and said, “These are one of the most tragic days.”
