What are Pets Spotify Playlists?
Music platform announced algorithmic playlists based on the music each user usually listens to and their pet’s characteristics. To create these playlists, Spotify enlisted the help of musicologist David Teie, who created specific tunes for each genre, including two albums with music for cats.
During the process of creating this new feature, Teie, who also played the cello for the American National Symphony Orchestra, said: most dogs not comfortable with bass-dominated musicbecause their instincts see it as a threat.
According to Spotify, the feature, first introduced in 2020 and now integrated into the mobile app, has seen searches for “puppy” increase by almost 700% since its inception. And many users already perfect melody for you cats and dogs.
Although the playlist is for your pet, this is the app’s soundtrack, for example, Aristocats, and songs will be chosen according to your musical taste. As the platform explains, the most popular songs added to the pet charts include “Sugar” from Maroon 5, “Wolves” by Selena Gomez and Marshmello, and “Roar” by Katy Perry.
