A Russian-speaking taxi driver who was fired from his job in Kiev for refusing to speak to a Ukrainian customer has recorded a video message thanking sympathizers for their support. The Russian-language Ukrainian publication Strana.ua writes about this.

According to the taxi driver, he is not hiding from haters and is living at home.

“We would like to thank all the sensitive people who intervened in this incident. “Also for the courage of those who commented under the posts of hateful and provocateurs,” he said in Ukrainian, and then added words of gratitude in Russian.

Before that, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Irina Farion requested “Exterminate” Russian-speaking Ukrainian citizens because of the incident with a taxi driver.

“We need to create a good battalion for such people. Immediately send them to ground zero or have trenches dug for our beloved soldiers. <…> Such people deserve only one thing; “Complete and absolute destruction,” he said.

Farion is a member of the far-right Svoboda party.

Previously in Ukraine named Language of communication is the most common cause of discrimination.
