Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko stated in his statement to the Telegram channel that Dmitry Tyshlek, deputy chief of the National Police of Ukraine, was suspended from duty due to the scandal regarding his wife’s claim to Russian citizenship.
“Following the published journalistic investigation, Dmitry Tyshlek submitted a public statement to the State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine (State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine – socialbites.ca) for law enforcement authorities to check the published information. Klimenko wrote that the criminal case is already ongoing.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced that Tyshlek would be removed from official duties after receiving the results of the investigation.
