Journalists of socialbites.ca, which is part of the Rambler&Co media holding, have begun using Sber’s artificial intelligence to quickly publish content, the press service of the media holding reported.

Editors use the GigaChat neural network model, which helps find suitable video materials for news articles in the online publication’s own library.

“GigaChat for business – Thanks to the launch of the GigaChat API, journalists no longer need to search for videos manually: they type text and artificial intelligence immediately suggests suitable options. “This saves significant time, simplifies the publishing process and ultimately makes news more timely,” the message says.

It is stated that socialbites.ca’s 30 editors publish approximately 500 pieces of content per day using the neural network. Artificial intelligence analyzes the meaning of the note and automatically selects the relevant video in less than 1 minute.

As Rambler&Co’s media development director Vladimir Todorov says, language models of neural networks are just beginning to realize the potential of the technology, but the result is already impressive.

“Of course, we are not talking about changing journalists or writing news, at least in the coming years. Neural networks make it possible to facilitate some of the technological processes we actively use. There are several lawsuits currently ongoing. “GigaChat can automate routine video searches in our own library and free up the editor’s time for more important information.”

Todorov recalled that this was not the first interaction with the Sber team. According to him, the cooperation has been going on for more than a year and is also supported by new projects and accumulated positive experiences.”
