The majority of Russians experience a complete decline in strength and energy at work. Tatyana Minaeva, career counselor, Skillbox course “Conscious Career. How to find a job according to your liking,” he said in an interview with socialbites.ca, looking for signs of burnout and giving advice to overcome the problem.

“In my app, when I was doing a survey on an audience of 1000+ people, I was asked, “Are you running out of work?” 94% of the respondents. give a positive answer. At the same time, many admit that they barely encountered severe fatigue, making sudden “diagnoses” and taking long breaks, sometimes from a year to two years, to resolve the problem,” he said.

According to the expert, this indicates that people are starting to allocate their finances more wisely and create airbags that allow them to stay down for so long. On the other hand, to some extent, this only confirms the fact that recently a complete decrease in strength and energy has been more often encountered.

The causes of this type of destruction are usually: intense and stressful work without breaks for rest during the day, lack of days off and holidays, various stressors such as constant conflicts in the workplace, internal rethinking of life goals and re-evaluation of values. .

Minaeva emphasizes the following signs of burnout: a constant feeling of irritation, moral and physical fatigue, which rest and sleep do not help to overcome. Decreased motivation, withdrawal from work and other areas of life, decreased productivity, cynical attitude towards colleagues, customers and other people, unwillingness to communicate with anyone.

The career counselor emphasized that it is very important for a person who notices at least one of the above points to start observing a rest regimen and not to bring himself to the point of no return.

“The most effective thing is to understand exactly what causes depletion and what absorbs energy. Once you have identified that, it is possible to prepare something like instructions for dealing with negative emotions and situations,” he said.

The steps could be:

1. If possible, sign up with a psychologist. It will help to accurately diagnose the condition and speed up the process of recovery from burnout.

2. Prioritize restoring the resource state.

3. Start keeping an observation diary: write down what takes away and what adds energy. Try to get rid of the first or change your attitude and increase the amount of the second.

4. Increase your sleep time. By getting enough sleep, you’ll be able to do more work more efficiently in less time.

5. Find five people with burnout and find out what helped them overcome them.

6. If you feel overwhelmed at work, experiment with time management. The number of tasks may not decrease, but you can affect their implementation.

7. Celebrate your interim successes and praise your progress towards recovery from burnout.
