Yocheved Lifshitz, one of the freed hostages of the Palestinian Hamas movement, said the prisoners were being held in underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip. The newspaper reported this Times of Israel.
The 85-year-old woman stated that she was beaten by members of the Palestinian movement in the first moments after the attack. But later Hamas representatives treated him quite well, also providing him with food and necessary medicine.
After being captured, Lifshits said, he and the other hostages were taken to the Gaza Strip. After this, people were directed to a “network” of underground tunnels where all valuables were confiscated.
The woman remembered walking down the corridor and then finding herself in a large hall. There were already about 25 hostages there at that time, but a few hours later she and four others were transferred to a separate room.
“The attitude towards us was good,” the prisoner emphasized.
