Suma Tax Management designed Strategic plan for the period 2022-2025 in order to improve the interest and services it offers to citizens and to increase the efficiency and value it creates among municipalities that have transferred the management of their taxes to the institution. Increase collection percentagesReducing the number of foreclosure receipts or file resolution time, increasing innovative projects, simplifying procedures and creating new payment instruments for taxpayers are some of the goals set.

Carlos Mazón, head of the Diputación, María Gómez, vice-president of the Treasury and vice president of the body, Ana Serna, deputies Alejandro Morant and mayor of Alicante, Javier Gutiérrez, Luis Barcala, and the director of the organization, José Antonio Belso.

Among the strategic objectives set, among others, voluntarily exceed 92% of collection and 35% of execution -currently 91.5% and 30.3% respectively- or 50,000 receipts per year, 25 million euros pending enforcement and one year seniority to reduce enforcement debt.

Likewise, it is targeted in the next three years reduce the average time to resolve files to ten days and to increase to 7% of revenue from agreements with autonomous bodies, which currently represent 4.5% of the budget, and from the eleven innovative projects the body supports each year.

For this purpose, human resources policies will be redesigned, the information system will be evaluated and the branch network will be updated. Likewise, in order to improve taxpayer services, efforts will be made to simplify transactions, absenteeism will be increased and new means of payment will be established. Emphasizing the importance of promoting new technologies without forgetting proximity to citizens, the president said, “We want to further strengthen the payment facilities we provide to taxpayers.”

Mazón argued that the tax burden borne by companies and citizens should be reduced and, for example, the Alicante Provincial Council’s Reducing the IAE state surcharge to 5% “Compared to 30% paid in Valencia and Castellón councils”.
