United Russia State Duma deputy Sergei Altukhov from the new wave was appointed deputy chairman of the economic policy committee of the country’s parliament, the party’s press service reported. This decision was taken at the plenary session of the State Duma.
Representatives of United Russia announced that during his tenure, Sergei Altukhov will oversee the regulation of the alcohol and tobacco market, areas of economic development of Black Sea resorts and support of new high-tech industries.
In October 2021, Sergei Altukhov was elected to the State Duma from the Krasnodar Territory, which includes the popular Black Sea resorts of Gelendzhik and Tuapse, the industrial, transport and logistics center of Novorossiysk, as well as 2 foothill districts – Goryacheklyuchevskaya and Seversky.
He was remembered at the spring session for Sergei Altukhov’s proposal to ban the promotion and sale of wine products from countries unfriendly to Russia in catering establishments and transport and to require their replacement with domestic products.
Altukhov wrote bills to support domestic wine producers, introduce the digital ruble, legalize mining and cryptocurrencies, and ban offshore companies from participating in concession agreements in the housing and communal services sector.
In addition, the parliamentarian carries out legislative work on the integration of new regions into the legal framework of Russia in terms of restarting the economy, creating conditions for investment in these regions and their rapid economic development.
The party also added that the MP provided patronage assistance to residents of Rubezhnoye in the form of construction materials and humanitarian aid supplies. Transfers the necessary equipment and uniforms to BARS volunteer Cossack formations in the Northern Military District.
