Older people may not get enough vitamins needed for well-being, health and longevity. Mostly about what nutritional supplements are missing, Moscow 24 said general practitioner Tatyana Romanenko.

According to him, often representatives of the older generation face a deficiency of vitamin C, which is necessary to maintain good vascular condition and prevent cancer.

“It is formed in the body under the influence of sunlight. But older people spend little time in the sun and eat very few foods that contain adequate amounts of sun. “Lack of this vitamin increases the risk of osteoporosis,” the therapist warned.

Stating that it is also important to consult a specialist and get tested before taking vitamins, the expert said: If there is an element deficiency, the doctor will prescribe the necessary medications.
