The report states that “34 Russian children in refugee camps in northeastern Syria returned to their homeland.”
It was noted that the children, aged between 4 and 16, arrived at Chkalovsky airport near Moscow on a plane belonging to the Russian Military Space Forces.
According to Lvova-Belova, the children feel well, but some have infectious diseases, while others have kidney and heart complications. The children will undergo a health check and will be taken into custody by their relatives after their treatment. The press service explained that the children were accompanied by doctors throughout the entire route.
“We still have documents for more than 150 children, documents are ready,” the Ombudsman said, adding that another group of children would soon be taken out.
