The Moscow Basmanny Court arrested two more lawyers of Alexei Navalny (who was included in the list of terrorists and extremists). This was reported by RIA Newsreferring to the court.
“The court decided to satisfy the investigator’s request to choose preventive measures against Alexey Liptser in the form of detention,” the court said.
The court had previously detained lawyers Igor Sergunin and Vadim Kobzev before the hearing.
According to the court, all three lawyers are charged with Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Participation in an extremist community). The sanction of this article provides for a prison sentence of 2 to 6 years. All three meetings were held behind closed doors at the request of the investigator.
