Scientists from Johns Hopkins University have detected a new cardiovascular disease. Kidney disease is a combination of metabolic disorders and disruptions in the functioning of the heart and blood vessels. In this respect reports TimesNewsUK.

The new disease is called cardiovascular-renal-metabolic syndrome, or CVMS. Technically, it is a combination of three groups of disorders. Researchers announced that one in three people in the United States is at risk of contracting this disease.

According to the four-stage rating, the risk of contracting the disease is minimal in people who do not smoke, have good eating habits and are not overweight; They are at step zero. This probability increases in people with prediabetes and excess fat deposits – the first stage. Those with diabetes, hypertension and kidney disease are placed in the second stage. The third stage is characterized by the presence of both heart and kidney disease, and the fourth stage is characterized by symptomatic cardiovascular disease, overweight, type 2 diabetes, or kidney disease.

A feature of SSPMS is that the underlying diseases can promote each other’s development. Hypertension often accompanies type 2 diabetes. At the same time, diabetes can cause problems with the kidneys and cause, for example, diabetic nephropathy. All this together leads to the development of serious heart diseases such as ischemia (including myocardial infarction).

Previously I learnedIt turns out that walking on stairs can reduce the risk of heart disease by 20 percent.
