Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that there are no private military companies (PMC) in Russia, “they never existed and do not exist.” He said this in his speech at the general assembly meeting of the Valdai international debating club.
According to the Russian leader, the name of Wagner PMC is only a journalistic name and there is no such structure legally. He noted that there is no consensus yet on whether formations such as private military companies are needed.
