The Artemis III mission, planned for 2025, will be the first lunar landing since Apollo 17 in December 1972 and the first mission to land a woman on the Moon.
“We are excited to partner with Prada on the Axiom Extravehicle Mobility Unit (AxEMU),” said Michael Suffredini, CEO of Axiom Space.

The company also said Prada engineers will work with the Axiom Space Systems team throughout the design process, developing solutions in materials and design features to protect against the unique challenges of the space and lunar environment. He emphasized that the new suit will provide astronauts with advanced capabilities for space exploration and will also provide NASA with commercially developed human systems needed to access the Moon and to live and work on and around the Moon.
