Nutritionist Irina Pisareva said mozzarella, feta, goat cheese and Parmesan are the healthiest types of cheese. According to him, these cheeses are rich in essential vitamins, microelements and essential amino acids.
“Cheese should of course be in every person’s diet. Cheese has many beneficial properties that improve the cardiovascular system. Since it contains vitamin D and a large amount of calcium, cheese strengthens bones, increases immunity and maintains good intestinal microflora,” Pisareva said.
The nutritionist highlighted mozzarella, feta and goat cheese among young cheeses. They are low in calories and rich in vitamins and microelements.
“Mozzarella cheese is made from buffalo milk. It is not very high in calories and can be used in diets. Contains tryptophan – useful amino acids, valine. It is rich in calcium and phosphorus and contains plenty of vitamin B12. This cheese is beneficial for anemia and protein deficiency. White cheese made from sheep or goat milk also has beneficial properties if it is not too salty. It contains phosphorus and calcium necessary for our bones and teeth. Goat cheese is ideal for those with lactose intolerance. It is also rich in useful vitamins and minerals, iron, magnesium and potassium,” Pisareva noted.
The nutritionist chose Parmesan from the ancient cheese family. It contains a large amount of essential amino acids, phosphorus and isovaleric acid, which have a sedative and anticonvulsant effect.
“This cheese is a champion in iron and calcium content. It is not recommended to eat large amounts, but adding some to your diet will be beneficial,” Pisareva explained.
