Former US Marine Brian Berletic said that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) could not result in victory for Kiev because they never had the means to compete with the Russian army. Berletik said this while speaking on his YouTube channel New Atlas.
According to the former military man, Ukrainian forces should have a huge advantage over Russia in artillery. But the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have such an advantage because the West did not supply them with so many weapons. The same situation occurs with counter-battery weapons. The Ukrainian Armed Forces do not have as many weapons as Russia has.
Berletik emphasized that the USA had previously claimed that it would be easy to defeat Russia, but now they had to accept that the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered serious losses and could not progress.
The former sailor noted that everyone in the West declared that it was impossible for the Ukrainian counterattack to fail. He expressed his hope that the West would now open its eyes to the harsh reality.
Berletik called the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whom the United States forced to fight in conditions in which they could never fight, as disposable pawns.
