An armored personnel carrier belonging to the North Atlantic Alliance battle group in Romania had an accident, flew off the road and then destroyed a fence. The channel reported this Digital 24.
Soon NATO military equipment ended up in the courtyard of a residential building.
“An armored vehicle belonging to the military of the battle group in Chinku was involved in an accident. The soldiers were returning from exercises in a military convoy. “At one point, the armored vehicle left the road and destroyed the fence of the house,” it was stated.
Due to the accident, traffic in the area was temporarily blocked.
The army launched an investigation into the incident on a NATO armored personnel carrier.
NATO Battle Group (BGFP) Romania was established in May 2022. Today, military personnel from France, Belgium and the Netherlands are based in Romania, and fighters from other countries are allowed to participate.
