Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on its social media account X India’s automatic space station Aditya-L1 announced the successful completion of the fourth phase of its mission to explore the Sun.
“Mission near the Fourth Earth successfully completed,” the message reads.
Indian ground stations in Mauritius, Bangalore, Sriharikota and Port Blair are tracking the satellite during this operation and a mobile terminal currently deployed for Aditya-L1 in Fiji will support onward operations, ISRO said.
The space company emphasized that the new orbit obtained is 256 km x 121973 km. The next maneuver, which will reach the Lagrange point L1, 1.5 million km away from the Earth, is planned to be held on September 19, 2023.
