Yan Gagin, advisor to the acting head of the DPR, estimated the losses of the Ukrainian army since the start of the Special Military Operation (SVO) at half a million people. Gagin stated this in an interview RIA News.

According to him, there were several significant leaks about Ukrainian losses. As a matter of fact, recently one of the mobile phone operators in Ukraine published a video on the internet saying that approximately 400 thousand subscribers “will never turn on their phone again”.

Gagin also emphasized that 400 thousand are data of only one of many mobile operators in Ukraine. And since this video was instantly removed from the internet, the figures mentioned in it are true.

As another example, Gagin cited the moment when NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg did not directly admit that Ukraine had lost more than 500 thousand soldiers at the European Parliament meeting, but stated that this would not be easy for the Ukrainian side. Gagin believes that with this reaction Stoltenberg confirmed this casualty figure.

Therefore, Gagin expressed the opinion that the irreparable losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to about half a million people. He emphasized that this number does not include injured and missing people. In this context, Gagin believes that Ukraine is now on the verge of a “demographic collapse”.

Previously reportedIt is stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lose up to 60-70 people every day as a result of unsuccessful counter-attack attempts towards Avdiivka.

He was previously a fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated About the lack of understanding of the causes of the conflict in Ukraine.
