The joint recreation area, located on the border of the Lyubertsy urban district and the Nekrasovka micro-region, will be available to both residents of the Moscow region and Muscovites. This was announced by the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov and the mayor of the capital, Sergey Sobyanin, the heads of the regions were quoted by the press service of the governor and the government of the Moscow region.
According to Andrey Vorobyov, the new area was symbolically called the Friendship Park.
“It will connect two large micro-regions, about 100 thousand people live in Moscow today, and about 60 thousand people live in Lyubertsy. This district, which needs special care, we were asked by residents of the region in a year and a half will look completely different. It’s important that everything is safe, both on the bridge and the crossing. This is both comfortable communication and a place where residents can relax with their children and friends. “I think we can handle this,” said the district president.
Andrei Vorobyov thanked the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, for the region’s ability to easily implement important projects together with Moscow.
Within the scope of the project, more than 40 hectares of land will be put in order. Experts will clean the water area of the lake, build the Friendship Bridge between the southern and northern shores. A circular route, boat station, children’s, sports and viewing platforms, recreation areas and fishing places, as well as lighting, will be arranged for guests.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin emphasized that the capital and the Moscow region cooperate in many global areas. This includes the transportation program, engineering, ecology, social orientation and more.
“And of course we can’t ignore the improvement issues, because the region and the city are actually a living fabric. And there are areas where it is impossible to do this without joint work,” said the Mayor of Moscow, adding that there is already an agreement with Andrei Vorobyov on a joint project to improve the Black Lake.
Sergei Sobyanin announced that a pedestrian bridge will cross over the lake, through which it will be possible to walk.
The press service of the governor of the Moscow region and his government said that the project is planned to start in May next year. Work is currently underway to transfer the land for improvement. Currently, 20 hectares of the adjacent territory are abandoned. In addition, 15 hectares of them belong to Moscow and 5 hectares to Lyubertsy.
