During excavations in Peru, archaeologists discovered a mummy whose age is estimated at 1000 years. Reuters.
The head of the archaeological group, Mirella Ganoza, said the mummy was found in the Miraflores district of Peru’s capital, Lima, along with ceramic vessels, textiles and other items.
According to Ganoza, the mummy is an adult man in a sitting position with his legs bent. He still has long hair and an almost completely solid chin.
According to scientists, the age of the mummy is about 1000 years, which marks the period when the Incas had not yet arrived in this region. Archaeologists believe that new unique finds are possible in Lima.
