New parents lose more than two months of sleep in their baby’s first year, according to Silentnight’s findings. The results of the research were reflected in the press portal Daily mail.

Experts surveyed 500 parents. The results showed that parents often slept for more than four and a half hours each night, that is, more than 31 hours a week or 68 days a year.

On average, they get up to their children 975 times a year, three times a night. Moreover, parents under 25 usually get up four times. The most common reasons for removal were the baby’s hunger, pain due to teething, or the need to change the diaper.

“Mothers suffer the most with an average of five hours of sleep deprivation, while fathers suffer three and a half hours of sleep deprivation. Men also find it easier to go back to sleep; seven out of ten people get a good night’s sleep after waking up, compared to only 44% of women.
