On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of Oleksiy Reznikov from the post of head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian edition of UNIAN.
327 deputies voted for Reznikov’s resignation, 4 deputies opposed, 11 deputies abstained, 23 deputies did not participate in the voting.
On September 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had decided to remove Oleksiy Reznikov from the ministry of defense and proposed to replace him with Rustam Umerov, who is now the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
