Russian historian confirms his dismissal from the American Institute

Russian historian and political scientist Valery Garbuzov said that indeed, he was dismissed from the post of director of the Institute of the United States and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences, this happened on the initiative of the founder. This has been reported TASS.

“Yes, an order was signed yesterday to terminate the contract with me. The reason is not specified there, there is such a clause in the employment contract – at the initiative of the founder … ”said Garbuzov.

According to him, the exact circumstances and reasons for his dismissal from the post of director of the US and Canadian Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences are unknown.

Valery Garbuzov was born in 1960 in Pskov. He is an expert on the domestic and foreign policy of the United States and is the author of over 70 scholarly articles. Garbuzov began working at the Institute of US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2000.

Before that, the institute in Yekaterinburg had more than 40 teachers suspended from work.
