“Ukraine needs to get the first ten of the 31 Abrams tanks promised in mid-September,” the newspaper said.
According to the source of the publication, at the moment the first batch of tanks is in Germany. First of all, German specialists need to inspect the equipment and, if necessary, send it for repair. Then the vehicles will be delivered to Kiev.
At the same time, Martin O’Donnell, the representative of the US Army’s command in Europe and Africa, said that American officials plan to accelerate the delivery of 31 tanks to Ukraine by autumn. According to the colonel, about 200 fighters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine participated in Abrams training.
