The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has delayed the launch of the lunar mission to send the Intelligent Lander to Study the Moon (SLIM) to Earth satellite for the third time. This information appeared on: area JAXA.

SLIM will be Japan’s first space project to land on the moon. During the descent, the module will recognize and analyze lunar craters. The mission is also designed to demonstrate precision landing on the satellite, landing no more than 100 meters from the targeted point, while other devices land within a radius of 1 km from the target. If successful, Japan will become the fifth country in history to send equipment to the moon, after the USSR, USA, China and India.
