Alexander Nikonov, Director of the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (CMVS), said: TASSThat a museum dedicated to the special military operation in Ukraine (SVO) may appear in Russia.

According to Nikonov, materials are currently being collected under the auspices of the Russian Historical Society, and museum personnel are heading to the war zone. The Central Military District director stated that 20,000 unique items have already been collected in the NWO.

“Then federal and municipal museums come and take these items for temporary use in order to hold exhibitions in their districts. However, in the future it will be decided to transfer some of the collected items to permanent storage. Maybe even a museum will be created dedicated to a special military operation, to the fight against Nazism in modern conditions, ”Nikonov said.

He explained that the items collected in the NVO region were sent to Rostov-on-Don, from where they were transported to the “Battle of Stalingrad” in Volgograd.
