The press service of Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) reported that two officials in Ukraine were accused of embezzling $1.7 million while purchasing food for the public.

Charges were brought against the first deputy minister for agricultural policy and the former deputy minister for the country’s economy. During the period of martial law, abuses arose during the purchase of food products of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” (“Ukrzheldoroga”) in order to meet the needs of the state.
