Scientists from the South Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) have developed the world’s first humanoid piloting robot, PIBOT. In this respect informs “Reedus”. It was clarified that the machine is controlled using artificial intelligence, able to memorize aviation maps and action protocols in emergency situations.

The developers claim that the robot can fly flawlessly and navigate faster than humans in emergency situations. According to scientists, PIBOT can manipulate switches even in severe turbulence and analyze the state of the external environment using an onboard camera. The creators have already trained the car in taxiing, takeoff, cruise and landing.

The robot has only been tested in a flight simulator so far, but the inventors plan to test the robot on a real airplane. The project is expected to be completed by 2026. According to the developers, PIBOT will be able to control ground vehicles as well as aircraft.

In August, during the Army-2023 scientific and technical forum showed “Bogomol-3C” prototype robot with stereo vision, designed to fight sabotage groups.

Formerly Xiaomi released budget robots with two ears.
