All bomb shelters in Ukraine have been given the status of strategic facilities. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel.
“The government will bring to justice those responsible for the non-availability of a quarter of all bomb shelters in Ukraine and about a third of the bunkers in Ukraine, in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine). According to him, all bunkers, anti-radiation bunkers and dual-use facilities built will need to be registered.
Shmyhal also stated that the construction of protective structures will be accelerated during martial law. At the same time, as he himself said, the controls of bomb shelters will now become systematic. In addition, local authorities will need to develop layout plans for bomb shelters.
