NN Burdenko, doctors of the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after him, presented at the Army-2023 forum a prototype of a device that can remove metal fragments from the brains of patients using electromagnetism. It has been reported TASS Regarding the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of Defense announced that the device is based on “Autoplan”, the first Russian system with augmented reality technology. The device is an additional electromagnetic device with which foreign bodies of metallic density can be removed from the brain without the use of medical instruments, since the system allows you to accurately determine the location of fragments in the brain tissues.
A prototype product is now being tested at Burdenko Hospital, where soldiers injured by shrapnel in the head during a special operation are treated.
This method, the Department of Defense notes, will allow military doctors to avoid open operations on the brain. Thus, the effect of the human factor in this process will be reduced to zero and this will reduce the consequences of surgical brain damage.
The “Army-2023” Forum is held from August 14-20. “socialbites.ca” studied the innovations of the military-industrial complex presented at the forum.
