Spanish mutual funds closed the first quarter of 2023 with a total of 16.3 million participants, which represents an increase of 200,000 from the end of the previous quarter, according to statistics released this Monday by the Commission National Stock Market (CNMV).
Considering all financial collective investment institutions (IICs) in Spain, the number of participants increased by 181,000 people, due to the decrease in participants in investment companies. On its part, investors in foreign IIC marketed in Spain grew by 183,000 to total approximately 6.6 million exhibitors.
Regarding assets managed, it amounted to 347,787 million euros at the end of the first quarter in national IICs, up 4.77% from the previous three months. Rising foreign organizations 4.92% of its assetsUp to 210,956 million euros.
By occupations, European fixed income funds continued to be the favorite of Spaniards with a total of 4.50 million participants (+3.66%), while international fixed income funds were 1.13 million (+5.46%).
In equities, the international favorite profession with 4.12 million participants (-0.89%), while those who prefer European stocks about 840,000 people, 0.65% less. Global funds closed the quarter with 1.72% fewer participants to 2.03 million.
Looking at assets, fixed income funds increased by 10.3% to 91,612 million; international variable incomes rose 5.03% to 47,883 million. The total assets of the global funds are 63,777 million Euros.0.1% more than the previous three months.
IICs are particularly notable. passive managementClosed the first quarter with 682,000 participants, with an increase of 14.5% compared to the previous quarter and 38.1% compared to the previous year. In terms of equity, they closed March with 20.064 million, 25.9% more than the end of December and 73.4% more than the end of the first quarter of 2022.
