The Supreme Court of the Komi Republic did not comply with the complaint of the lawyer of sociologist and political scientist Boris Kagarlitsky (known in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) and upheld the decision on his arrest by September 24. It has been reported TASS.
“The Supreme Court of the Komi Republic upheld the decision of the first-instance court,” the court told the agency.
UFSB of Russia, previously in Komi presented Kagarlitsky was indicted in an article on public calls for terrorism, its rationale, and online propaganda. On July 26, Syktyvkar City Court arrested him for two months on this charge in a secret session. The politician does not admit his guilt. According to the investigation, he posted a video that “aims to publicly legitimize terrorism”. The court did not specify what kind of video was in question or what was filmed. According to lawyer Kagarlitsky, the case includes a post by a sociologist on the Telegram channel about the explosion at the Crimean bridge.
