A scandal erupted in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine due to the purchase of jackets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) at an inflated price. This was reported by the Ukrainian edition of “Zerkalo Nedeli”.

According to the publication, in the fall of 2022, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine signed a contract with a Turkish company for the supply of 4,900 winter jackets for the army, worth 142,000 dollars, but the jackets were returned when coming from Turkey. When it changed from “camouflage” to “winter weather protection,” the price per piece rose from $29 to $86. As a result, the price of the lot rose to $421,000.

Later it turned out that the supplier company was not Turkish, but belonged to the Ukrainian Roman Pletnev from Zaporozhye.
