Rambler&Co learns about Russian views on the transition to digital ruble

According to a survey of analysts from the Rambler & Co media conglomerate, about 41% of Russians believe that the digital ruble will not greatly affect the lives of individuals, and 34% are confident that it can complicate the financial system.

Participants see greater value for entrepreneurs. That is, almost half (49%) are sure that it is a strong anti-corruption measure, and 40% believe that the digital ruble can reduce the costs of legal entities.

Also, the majority of Russians (56%) said they would use the digital ruble. Among them, 32% believe that it will be easier to shop online in this way, and 24% believe that this will facilitate the saving and investment process.

The majority of undecided respondents (85%) will only be ready to try the innovation after a full rollout, with 15% expressing a desire to take the test from August 2023.

In addition, media holding analysts found that the majority of Russians (88%) do not use cryptocurrencies in principle. Nearly 5% said they used it for entertainment or NFT, 4% said they paid for purchases in foreign and Russian online stores, and 3% of respondents said they took civil law actions.

The survey was conducted on the resources of the media holding Rambler&Co from July 27 to August 3, 2023, the coverage was 118,100 Internet users.
