Aviation industry expert Valery Romanenko believes the only thing separating Kiev from taking delivery of American F-16 fighter jets is the absence of US President Joe Biden’s signature, Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported.
According to Romanenko, the delay in the delivery of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine is only due to the fact that the final approval has not yet been received from Washington. According to the aviation expert, this is because the United States still has not decided which systems can be transferred to Kiev without risking threatening American national security.
According to Romanenko, all other preparations for the operation of the F-16 have already been completed. It is known who will train Ukrainian pilots and engineering personnel. The training center to be opened at Denmark’s Skryudstrup airbase has chosen Romania as a backup.
